Wearing an apron

Believe it or not, this is a less waste tip. Keeping your clothes clean while doing chores around the house and yard enables you to wear clothes longer and to not have to use stain fighting cleaners. It also provides a pretty great messy child barrier. I find myself cringing a lot less when they come at me with their syrup/mud/sauce covered selves.
