Three more batch gifts
First off, thank you all for your kind words, condolences, texts, emails and messages after my previous post. They lifted my spirits and gave me comfort during this sad time.
I wanted to get this next batch of bulk gifts out to you quickly as gift giving time is slamming upon us. The first two gifts are from previous posts while the third gift is some I made for last Christmas.
Gift 1- Brown sugar body scrub. Giving this along with a beeswax candle would be a great little at-home-spa gift that would be very inexpensive while also being thoughtful and well received. http://
Gift 2- Lemon and clove sink scrub. These were a HUGE hit a few years back when I gifted them. You could give this gift alone or you could gift it along with a locally made bar of soap to have a bit of a clean kitchen theme gift.https://www.cleanmama.net/
Gift 3- Cord tacos. I made these gifts last year from scrap leather (3-6 oz) I bought from a craftsman so I wasn’t causing new leather to be made. I took my nice scissors to be sharpened at a knife sharpening shop and they did well to cut the leather. I traced a round container to get the right size circle I wanted and a hammer and nail to poke a hole for the buttons. If you’ve never added snap buttons to anything before, consider this your time. The first time I ever did, I watched a youtube video to learn how. It’s really easy. Also, keep in mind that you might have friends that avoid leather products for animal treatment or religious purposes. If this is the case you might want to make them with faux leather instead. I didn’t think of this at the time and, though they were all well received, later wished I had.
And don’t be afraid to make a few batches of a couple gifts and offer your friends the choice between them. I’ve done that before and folks have loved the options.
More batch gift ideas to come so stay tuned!
