Four Simple Switches

Top left: Stainless steel straws for the plastic ones. Have you all watched that video of the sea turtle with the straw stuck in her/his nose? It’s heartbreaking. Use at home or take these straws with you on the go. Make sure to tell your waiter or waitress that you don’t need a straw and either go straw-less or use your stainless steel one.

Top right: Recycled plastic toothbrush (or bamboo). These are made from 100% recycled #5 products. When you are done with them, recycle them where #5 can be recycled or print off the pre-paid postage online and you can mail them back in their original packaging to be recycled again.

Bottom left: Wool dryer balls for dryer sheets. They bop around with your clothes in the dryer and soften them and cut down on dryer time. If you want scent, you can add a couple of drops of essential oils to them. Full disclosure, these aren’t exceptional at removing static. Has anyone ever used those reusable dryer sheets I’ve seen? If so, have you had success?

Bottom right: Homemade All Purpose Salad Dressing. This dressing is from Jenny Rosenstrach’s Dinner A Love Story website. We always have some version of this on hand in the fridge. http://www.dinneralovestory.com/this-is-not-a-sponsored-post/
