My first failure happened before I even started. As a special Ed teacher, your life is data. Maybe that’s why I have such an aversion to it in my real life. Or maybe I’m just impulsive and I wanted to save the world from my trash immediately but whatever the reason, I have always regretted the fact that I never took data on how much trash I created in a 1 or 2 week period. I know that we create much less than we did a year ago but I would love to know how much less. I will now never know. So learn from me and take note of how much waste you create in a week or 2. Maybe count how many trash bags you go through. That way, in a year from now, you can know exactly how proud of yourself you should be!
